Cisco Router Hardware









Various Cisco router componants like,

  1. ROM, where POST code is located
  2. FLASH, where IOS is
  3. NVRAM, has startup_config, to loadup initial parameters
  4. DRAM, startup_config is copied to DRAM as the running_config
